Course Overview

Join the Huachuma Foundation for an immersive 6-month exploration into the profound world of Huachuma. This comprehensive course offers a unique blend of historical, scientific, spiritual, and practical knowledge, guiding participants through the multifaceted aspects of this sacred plant medicine.

Schedule: Monthly sessions on Mondays, 4:30 pm to 6:00pm (Arizona Time). Replays available for registrants.

Duration: 6 months

Contribution: The suggested donation for this offering is $108, though no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Month 1: Introduction to Huachuma

  • History of Huachuma in Western and Indigenous traditions

Month 3: Ceremonial Practices and Integration

Month 4: Emotional Healing and Trauma Work

  • Trauma and Huachuma: A path to healing
  • Navigating emotions during and after ceremonies
  • Huachuma as a teacher for life: Applying insights to daily living

Month 5: Practical Considerations

  • The legal landscape in the U.S. and abroad
  • Preservation and ethical cultivation practices
  • Considerations for all those seeking to engage with this plant

Month 6: Advanced Topics

  • Mineral balancing for Huachuma practitioners
  • Facilitator best practices and ethics
  • Preparing for the annual Peru retreat (for those coming)

Culminating Experience

Participants may choose to join a retreat to Peru currently offered outside of our organization, but led by our founder Hamid and Miguel. This hands-on experience allows students to deepen their connection with Huachuma in its ancestral homeland.
